London WB Studio Tour – Making of Harry Potter WB Tour: Backlot Cafe

The Backlot Cafe is located halfway through the Warner Bros. Tour. There is fast service but the food isn’t good. I ordered pasta with tomato sauce. The pasta was mushy and the sauce was sour. There is also a butterbeer stand next to the Backlot Cafe. The butterbeer was decent but to diluted. I wouldn’t recommend this resturant to anyone.

My Pasta. Yuck.

What the Parents Think

Eating at a amusement park is always risky.  As a parent you weigh the cost of packing food to the park to eat during lunch or purchasing the eight dollar hot dog and soggy fries.  I had plenty of opportunity in the morning to pick up something good like a sandwich at Pret A Manger.  Instead I chose the later.  Boy do I regret that decision.  I had high hopes for the adult menu.  They had a chicken tikka masala over rice and the children’s menu had all the classics.  The chicken masala looked pretty good. But the flavors were completely off and the chicken didn’t taste fresh.  All the butter beer couldn’t get that taste out.  I tried to eat my kids pasta dish.  That was just as bad.  The pasta was over cooked and not salted and the tomato sauce was bland.  It was so bad I told my kid to stop eating it.

The Harry Potter Experience was fantastic if you’re a big fan and have seen all the movies.  But I would skip the food and just buy a butter beer!!
