Tokyo – Hainan Jeefan

Tokyo – Hainan Jeefan

Best hole in the wall restaurant in Tokyo

Picky Eats – Hainan Jeefan was a place that took a while to find, but had good food. The day we ate here, there were two typhoons in Japan. The heavy wind blew the rain sideways, so umbrellas were useless. When we finally arrived inside, it was almost full. I ordered Hainan chicken. It was nice and cold, and came with a side of chicken soup. I would recommend this place to anyone. Just remember to check the forecast before you walk there!

WHAT THE PARENTS THINK

The fall of 2017 was very wet in Tokyo. After a busy day of travel we just wanted something quick and wanted to take a break from ramen.

Hainan Jeefan looked like walking distance from our hotel. What I didn’t expect was pounding rain and wind. We all had umbrellas. No big deal. But the rain blew sideways. By the time we got to the restaurants, our pants were wet.

Needless to say no one was happy. This food better be good or I’m in trouble. The food arrived quick. Hainan chicken rice. It came with a side of soup. The food did not disappoint. It came with a side of chicken soup

The restaurant was a little hard to find. Many side streets. The place was hopping on the day we were there. We were not the only ones with wet pants.
